GateBarrier

Brushless geared motors are often used in barrier gates (also known as parking lot barriers) to provide a reliable, efficient and low-maintenance opening and closing mechanism.

Gate operation process

Signal detection

When a vehicle approaches the barrier, the sensor detects the presence of the vehicle and sends a signal to the control system.

Command execution

The control system evaluates the signal and decides whether the barrier needs to be opened. It will send instructions to ESC if needed.

Motor activation

After receiving the command to open the barrier, the ESC provides current to the brushless motor and the motor starts to rotate.

Reduced operation

Due to the action of the reducer, the high speed of the motor is decelerated and converted into low-speed rotation of high torque, which is suitable for moving the barrier rod slowly and smoothly.

Barrier rod lifting

The rotation of the motor is converted into the lifting action of the barrier rod through mechanisms such as mechanical connecting rods or chains.

Stop condition

Once the barrier rod reaches the fully open position, the sensor or limit switch will send a signal to the control system to instruct the motor to stop rotating.

Waiting to pass the gate

After the vehicle passes, another signal triggers the closing operation.

Motor reverse direction

The control system instructs the ESC to reverse the direction of the motor and start lowering the barrier pole.

Barrier gate closed

The barrier gate rod is lowered to the closed position, the sensor or limit switch sends a stop signal again, and the entire operation cycle ends.

The application of brushless gear motors in barrier gate systems provides high efficiency, long life and high performance solutions, which is very suitable for parking lot barrier environments with frequent operations.
