Yifan Motor Expands Robotic Actuator Line for Humanoid Platforms
A dedicated assembly cell for integrated joint actuators is now running at the Wuxi plant, combining frameless torque motors, harmonic stages and absolute encoders in one sealed module.
JIANGNAN YIFAN MOTOR CO., LTD (SZSE: 301023.SZ) has commissioned a dedicated assembly cell for robotic joint actuators at its 120,000 m² manufacturing base in Wuxi. The line produces the YF-RBT series, which integrates a frameless torque motor, a harmonic or planetary reduction stage, an absolute encoder and drive electronics into a single sealed housing.
Built for joint-level integration
Humanoid and collaborative robot builders increasingly source joints as complete modules rather than assembling motors, gearboxes and encoders themselves. The new cell is organised around that requirement: each actuator leaves the line with its encoder referenced, its drive parameters written and its torque curve recorded against a serial number.
- Rated torque from 10 N·m to 120 N·m in three housing diameters
- Backlash below 1 arcmin on harmonic stages
- Hollow shafts from 14 mm to 22 mm for internal cable routing
- CAN and EtherCAT communication options
Traceability across the whole drive train
Every actuator carries a data record covering winding parameters, gear stage batch, encoder calibration and end-of-line torque verification. For customers qualifying a joint into a walking platform, this traceability shortens the audit trail from component level to a single serial number.
